  2. Dear Dr Thomson,
    Yes the photos of the hibiscus in that post are from Samoa. They are in front of my father's house at Alafua.
    Most of the other hibiscus photos featured in my blog are also from Samoa although there are a handful from Belgium (however those are Hibiscus syriacus and Hibiscus trionum) neither of which I have come across in Samoa.
    Generally when I do a post I mention where the photos were taken. However, I realize that there are a few where I have not done so. I will work on fixing that once exams are over. In the meantime if you have any doubt about the origin of any of the plants photographed, feel free to ask me.
    Also if you want to use any of the picture please feel free to do so as long as you credit me as the photographer.
